Publication Process
Global Dialogues in Humanities and Pedagogy follows a structured and transparent publication process to ensure the quality, timeliness, and integrity of each published article. The steps are as follows:
1. Submission
Authors submit their manuscripts through the journal’s online submission system. All submissions must comply with the journal’s author guidelines, including formatting, referencing style, and ethical declarations.
2. Initial Screening
The editorial team conducts a preliminary assessment to check the manuscript’s relevance, originality, and compliance with submission requirements. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic criteria may be rejected without review.
3. Plagiarism Check
All manuscripts undergo plagiarism screening using reliable plagiarism detection software. Submissions with a similarity index exceeding the acceptable threshold will be returned to the authors for revision or rejected.
4. Peer Review
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent for double-blind peer review by at least two independent reviewers. The reviewers evaluate the manuscript’s quality, clarity, originality, and contribution to the field.
5. Editorial Decision
Based on the reviewers’ recommendations, the Editor-in-Chief or Associate Editors make one of the following decisions: accept, accept with minor revisions, revise and resubmit, or reject. Authors are notified of the decision along with reviewer comments.
6. Revision and Resubmission
If revisions are required, authors are given a deadline to revise and resubmit their manuscript. The revised version may be returned to the reviewers for re-evaluation if necessary.
7. Copyediting and Proofreading
Accepted manuscripts undergo professional copyediting to correct grammar, formatting, and referencing issues. Authors are given a final proof to review and approve before publication.
8. Publication
Once the final version is approved, the article is assigned to an issue and published online in open-access format. Each article receives a DOI and is indexed accordingly.
9. Post-Publication Updates
The journal accommodates post-publication corrections or retractions in accordance with its ethics policy. Authors and readers may report any concerns regarding published content to the editorial office.
